That spirit is the heartbeat of San Ramon Tamil School.

For more than 12 years, San Ramon Tamil School has been a cherished gathering place for Tamil families across the SF Bay Area. More than a school, it is a thriving community and a living celebration of one of the world's oldest classical languages, still vibrant in daily life, education, arts, and modern commerce.

Tamil is not a relic of the past. It is spoken, sung, debated, written, and shared by millions around the world every day. At SRTS, we are committed to ensuring that future generations inherit this rich linguistic and cultural heritage with pride and confidence.

Our programs serve learners of all ages. Young students discover the beauty of Tamil language, literature, history, and culture in an engaging and nurturing environment. Adults reconnect with their roots or embark on a new linguistic journey, strengthening their connection to Tamil heritage and identity.

Every Sunday, our campus comes alive as a hub for connection and belonging. Families build friendships, celebrate traditions, share experiences, and create lasting memories in a welcoming environment that feels like home, even thousands of miles away from their ancestral homeland.

SRTS is powered by hundreds of passionate volunteers who contribute their time, energy, and expertise not out of obligation, but out of love for the language, the culture, and the community.

Since the 2025 academic year, San Ramon Tamil School has operated as an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization governed by a Board of Directors and affiliated with the International Tamil Academy (ITA). This evolution reflects our continued commitment to excellence, accountability, and service to the Tamil community we proudly serve.
